On April 23rd and 24th, 1901 the Mansfield YMCA hosted “The Grand Athletic and Gymnastic Carnival” at the Memorial Opera House. Tickets were $0.25 and sold by Y members and at Osborn’s Drug Store. The event featured a military bayonet drill, parallel bar, tumbling, and artistic fencing exercises just to name a few. Also included in the event was music under the direction of Mr. Howard Kunz. Included in the “Souvenir Programme” were various exercises. If you feel the need to drop some of those quarantine pounds, try out the Leg Extensors, Chest Expander, or Liver Squeezer shown below.
